Meet Lauren and Corey. Lauren and Corey met while they were both attending Purdue University. They have been together for several years and have decided that it is now time to tie the knot! They are having their wedding in May at Ross Camp at Purdue, which is the perfect location for them since they both met at Purdue. Lauren and I actually knew each other from our time at Purdue, so it was great when she contacted me about their wedding!!!!
Lauren and Corey currently live in California and we scheduled their engagement session for when they would both be back in Indiana for the holidays. However, the day we scheduled the session for it downpoured, and I mean downpoured! It rained all day and the few days leading up to their session. We weren't able to reschedule the session due to both of our availability so we decided to move forward with the session. We had originally planned for a park, but because of the rain we decided to move the session to Purdue University. It was their alma mater and where they met and there are plenty of buildings to duck into so it sounded like the perfect choice. However, when we arrived, all the buildings were locked because Purdue was on winter break! Ah, oh no! Lauren and Corey thought of moving the session to the courthouse. It wasn't ideal, but it would work. We ended up getting a few minutes where the rain wasn't too horrible so we ran outside and did a few photos in an alleyway and at The Black Sparrow which was a bar that they frequented. After The Black Sparrow photos, their umbrella gotten taken by the wind and broke in half so we took a few more photos inside the courthouse and then called it a day.
