You're engaged and busy planning a wedding. You have booked your venue and wedding photographer and are trying to find a time to take your engagement portraits. When is the best time to take your engagement portraits?
The best time to schedule your engagement session is 6 months before your wedding. If 6 months is too far out for you, then you will at least want to get them done 3 months before your wedding at the latest.
A lot of couples will want to use their engagement portraits for their Save The Dates. Save The Dates usually go out around the 6 month mark so this is one of the main reasons you should take your engagement portraits around this time frame as well.
If you are not wanting to use your engagement portraits for your Save The Dates, the 6 month mark is the ideal time for your engagement portraits. However, if the 6 month mark is a busy time for you then you should at least take your portraits before the 3 months mark. This will allow you to have time to use your engagement portraits before your wedding comes and you will have all of your wedding portraits.
