Misty and Jon are married!!!! YAY! You may remember these two from their Notre Dame engagement session (you can view that HERE). Misty and Jon first met back in 2008. Jon was playing on a basketball team with some of Misty's friends. She would go to the games to cheer everyone on and pretty soon afterwards, they started hanging out. Jon proposed to Misty on New Year's Eve 2018 while they were on vacation in Punta Cana. Misty said yes!

We can't talk about Misty and Jon's wedding without talking about the fact that these two had to reschedule their wedding twice! No one ever dreams about having to reschedule their wedding once, let alone twice! Misty and Jon were originally planning on having their wedding last week at Amish Acres. In November, Amish Acres reached out and let them know that they were shutting down their doors pretty abruptly so they would need to find a new venue. Luckily a friend reach out to them and introduced them to Kalli and Josh. Kalli and Josh own a gorgeous farm in South Bend, Indiana and had held their own wedding at their farm. Once they heard about couples scrambling to find a venue after Amish Acres shut down, they graciously opened up their farm to the couples. Misty and Jon loved the farm and knew it would be perfect for their wedding so they set a new date for last Friday. However, COVID-19 happened and we all know about social distancing, capacity limits, and everything that came along with it. Since the capacity limits for events were still pretty strict on Friday, they pushed their wedding back one day to Saturday which had a more lenient capacity limit policy so they would be able to have a good portion of their guests present. Needless to say that when Saturday arrived, they were more than excited to FINALLY be able to tie the knot!

Misty and Jon's wedding day was just perfect! The sun was out and it was a gorgeous day! The Farm has two barns, a red barn and a white barn. Misty and Jon held their ceremony outside of the red barn and it made the perfect backdrop for their love. Their reception was held inside the white barn and they decorated it will string lights, loots of greenery, and blue and blush accents. It was a gorgeous wedding and they were surrounded by their friends and family!
