During a wedding day there are tons of things to remember and do before you walk down the aisle. Here are 5 things that some brides may forget or not think about on their wedding day.
1. Bouquets and Boutonnieres
Most of the time your florist will deliver your bouquets and boutonnieres to your getting ready room but sometimes they get delivered to the ceremony location. You will want to make sure that the bouquets and boutonnieres are delivered to the prospective getting ready locations before any portraits will be taken. These are used for detail photos, first look/couple portraits, and wedding party portraits so you will want to make sure they are available.
2. Rings
A lot of time couples will go ahead and give the best man the wedding bands before the day starts. However, if you are able to have all the rings in the getting ready location this will help with portraits. Your photographer can go ahead and do the ring detail photos before the day starts. Also, if you are planning on doing a first look and your couple portraits before the ceremony, then you'll want to be wearing your wedding bands.
3. Shoes
Now, I know you aren't going to forget your shoes but you may want to consider bringing another pair. Depending on your wedding location and the weather that day, you may want to bring a pair that you're able to walk in the grass with without fear of getting your shoes dirty or having your heels sink into the ground. You can also invest in a pair of heel stoppers too.
4. Invitation Suite
If you have a spare invitation suite (save the date, invitation, response cards, envelope, etc) then bring that along with your wedding details! I love photographing invitation suites with the wedding detail photos since the invitation is what sets the whole tone of your wedding for your guests. If you haven't ordered your wedding invitations yet, order a couple extra, one for you and one for your photographer.
5. Don't Sweat The Small Stuff
It's your wedding day and even though you've planned for a year and made sure everything would be perfect, things can go wrong. Don't let it get to you and know that something goes wrong at every wedding but the wedding will still turn out beautifully! Also, don't sweat the little details. If your nail polish chips or if your bouquet starts to turn a bit brown, don't worry too much about it. Those little details will not show up in your wedding images.
