Laura and Ben are married!!!! YAY! You may remember these two from their France Park engagement session last year. (You can view that HERE.) Laura and Ben first met in 2019 through a dating app. They hit it off right away and their texting for a week turned into 5 hour phone conversations each day. When they finally had their first date, they both knew they had found the one.
Ben proposed to Laura in April. The night before he told Laura he had a vast "terrible" secret that he had to tell her. Laura was obviously a bit bummed and concerned. Ben proceeded to keep up with this fib for the rest of the night. The next day, Ben asked Laura to take a walk at Prophetstown State Park. This was something they have done before so it wasn't suspicious to Laura that something was going to happen. Laura agreed to the walk so Ben could tell her his "terrible" secret. After 20 minutes into the walk, Ben stopped in the middle of a bridge and told Laura that he was indeed keeping a secret. He then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Laura obviously said yes!
Laura and Ben were supposed to tie the knot in December but as we all know, COVID-19 had different plans. After watching the capacity limits keep going down and down, they realized that it would be best for them and their guests if they postponed their wedding. You can only imagine how excited they both are to be able to finally become husband and wife on Saturday! Their wedding was perfect! They held their ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Fowler House in Lafayette, Indiana. Their ceremony was held outside and their reception was held inside the mansion. They filled their wedding with dusty rose, forest green, and dark red details and were surrounded but their closest friends and family. It was the perfect day!
