Alexis and Mitchell are married! YAY! You may remember these two from their gorgeous farm engagement session in English, Indiana. (You can view that HERE.) These two have been together since 2016 and they first met during their first week of classes as Freshman at Purdue University! They hit it off and have been together ever since! Mitchell proposed to Alexis by Purdue University while they were out walking their dog. Alexis obviously said yes!
Their wedding on Saturday was just perfect! Since they met at Purdue, it only made sense for them to get married at Purdue as well! West Lafayette is also a midway point for both of their families so it was an easier location for everyone to travel to. They held their ceremony at Federated Church in West Lafayette, Indiana which was a special church for the both of them because they worked for the church through their tutoring outreach programs. Their ceremony was filled with custom vows, readings by their family, and a couple special songs by the groom's mother. Their reception was held at the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom and Alexis made all of the centerpieces, decorations, and florals for their big day. Alexis and Mitchell were part of the Purdue Reamer Club (this club is responsible for driving and maintaining the Purdue trains) so they had the Purdue Xtra Special Train make an appearance at their reception! Alexis' mother was a cake baker and Alexis would watch her make these magnificent wedding cakes in the 90's and early 2000's. She loved the cakes with fountains and knew that when she tied the knot she wanted that at her wedding. Their wedding cake featured a fountain and a design that her mom used to use on cakes. Their wedding was filled with so many special details, ivory, pink, and sage accents, and filled with their friends and family.
Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their wedding below!
Alexis and Mitchell: I hope you are having a BLAST on your honeymoon! It was so great getting to know and work with you both during your engagement and wedding day. Your wedding was spectacular (and thank you for being troupers with the heat and rain) and you make such a great couple! I know you have a lifetime of laughter, love, and fun ahead of you!
